OUR HISTORY

THE BEGINNING

Sargomma was established in Turin in the early 80s, when the auto sector was rapidly expanding. Giuseppe Sardo, the owner, collaborated with the major Turin body shops, worked side by side with the constructing engineers and provided solutions that translated into components for the interiors of the most famous cars of those years, earth-moving machines and agricultural machinery. He was independent, yet always present with customers: a value that still lives in today’s Sargomma.

EXPANSION

Towards the end of the 80s, the earth-moving and agricultural machinery industry produced increasingly comfortable solutions to overcome the problems of the operators, who were forced to interrupt their activities in the event of rain or adverse climatic conditions.

It was during that time that Giuseppe Sardo, along with his clients’ Technical Offices, saw the possibility of including all the comfort elements that are typical of a car inside the innovative closed cabins.

His experience, combined with the quality of Sargomma components, mounted on these new machines, guaranteed an immediate success. In 1985, after his daughter Brigitte joined the company, the growth of Sargomma continues with new visions and international openness.

Verso la fine degli anni ’80 l’industria delle macchine movimento terra e macchine agricole realizza soluzioni  di maggior confort per sopperire ai problemi degli operatori, fino ad allora costretti ad interrompere le attività in caso di pioggia o fenomeni avversi.

Proprio in quel momento Giuseppe Sardo, insieme con gli Uffici Tecnici dei suoi clienti, intravede la possibilità di inserire nelle innovative cabine chiuse tutti gli elementi di confort tipici di un’autovettura.

La sua esperienza unita alla qualità dei componenti Sargomma, montati su questi nuovi macchinari, gli garantiscono un successo immediato.

Nel 1985, con l’ingresso in azienda della figlia Brigitte, la crescita di Sargomma continua con visioni nuove e apertura internazionale.

 

SARGOMMA YESTERDAY TODAY AND TOMORROW

Over the years, the company has changed a lot compared to more than forty years ago, except for the guiding values ​​set by the founder: being present and responding to the customer personally, seeing difficulties as challenges.

The Sargomma of yesterday also developed with the important contribution given by the experience of Enrico Maria Rosso, who was able to bring into a company like Sargomma the typical open-mindedness of a multinational company, suggesting the best development strategies towards the market. A winning choice that led Sargomma to expand internationally and establish important partnerships abroad to better develop and share a winning know-how, while consolidating its position on the national market and maintaining its identity that combines technical expertise with a creative approach focused on increasingly innovative solutions for its customers.

In the late 90’s, Sargomma’s evolution was characterized by a crucial moment: a woman takes command of the company, Brigitte Sardo, daughter of the founder. This represented a real innovation at that time in a predominantly male sector. Over time, Brigitte Sardo was able to ferry the company towards a new future full of ambitious and constructive projects, one of which took shape with the construction of a new plant in Grugliasco, where we design, produce and distribute all 4.0 technical rubber articles.

Furthermore, in order to certify its skills and increase transparency towards its stakeholders, Sargomma adopted a management system certified in compliance with UNI-EN-ISO-9001, IATF-16949, ISO- 45001, ISO-14001, AS9100 and PDR125.
